About a week ago, we started hearing noises from a neighboring apartment that, up until now, was completely silent. The noises were in the form of voices at 2:00 AM (from the wall that our bed is up against), some loud music, and recently some coughing and nose blowing consistent with someone with a cold.

One year ago, it snowed in Colindres. That was the only snow I’ve ever seen in our little town. All this past week, it’s been trying to snow, and you can see snowy mountain peaks on the horizon, but the snow hasn’t quite made it down to our sea-level elevation.

We went to Mondragon this past weekend to arrange some wedding details. We didn’t actually accomplish anything, but we are slightly more informed about photographers and priests. On Sunday, we went to a bar that specializes in grilled mushrooms, or “champiñones” in Spanish.

Back in 2001, a small start-up in North Carolina, called Mage Web Development, began developing an algorithm, similar to that of traceroute, to locate the fastest path across the internet between two IP addresses. They called it “IP Hone” and they registered the trademark “ipHone”. Legal experts say that this lawsuit could be much more devastating for Apple than that of Cisco.
