In sort of a combination of my tea cup and guitar posts this week, I have continued to alter reality a bit with Photoshop magic.
Trapped Artist

This was my first idea. I don’t like it that much.

Miniature Musician

This would make a great album cover, were I a classical guitar virtuoso.

Note how the string shadows hit my foot and cross my foot’s shadow at about the same place. If it weren’t for the lighting problems on my shoulders and feet, it would look pretty darn real.

I must have read too much Borrowers as a kid. Almost all of my photoshop ideas involve a mini-me.

I was trying to explain about The Borrowers to Marga just now, and she reminded me of The Littles (Los Diminutos in Spanish), a cartoon that I used to love! The best part about the show was how they would show you how to make little miniature stuff from household items at the end of every episode.

And while I’m on the topic of childhood television… Rest in peace, Mr. Wizard. There are thousands of the world’s top scientists that got their career interest from you. Thank you.

I love the second picture. I too have a fascination with miniaturized stuff. I especially like elaborately furnished doll houses. I got my first Borrowers book for Christmas when I was about 10, and subsequently read all of them. There is at least one Borrowers movie too.

I meant to notify you when Mr. Wizard passed a couple of weeks ago. His tv show would bore the heck out of kids today, but in the 50’s it was electrifying (!) stuff.

Just wondering could you do something similar for me, for a fee of course?
