For some reason, we have really nice sunsets this time of year. Plus, I become more aware of them because, around 18:00, my computer monitor gets bathed in gold light. The rest of the year the light from the sunset is blocked, by another part of the building, from entering my office window. These are some photos I took over the past couple weeks and a video I made last night.

This video is a little sloppy. When I saw the “phenomenon”, ran to get the camera to film it. I’ll have to do a better one some time that’s more centered and with less reflection. But the real question is, can you figure out what it is?

Last weekend, the in-laws came to visit. On Sunday morning, my father-in-law somehow talked the rest of us into driving 15 minutes away to a mine because he thought he remembered seeing some trees nearby that he knows produce a kind of berry that is in season in November.

The sun was shining early, so Marga and I got up at 7:00 to have breakfast and spend a few more minutes on a Caribbean beach before packing up the suitcases. We used the morning to take a walk around the hotel and snap some condemning photos to show our travel agent when we got back home. Pretty disgusting, all of it.
