This isn’t quite as beautiful as Van Gogh’s painting, but I’m pretty happy with my first attempt at a 30-second night time exposure with my new camera. If you click on the image, you can see notes about each of the visible stars in Flickr.
The application I used to identify the stars is Stellarium, the best freeware application available for night sky watchers.
