Way to blow my productivity today, Brendon. Thanks. Simon, I'm going to answer you based on the hypothetical assumption that I did, in fact, acquire this movie through nefarious means. The file I got was a DVD rip from the screener they send to The Academy for award consideration. The quality was excellent except for a 30-second screw-up in the middle of some unimportant dialog. Our nearest cinemas are 30 minutes away. I've lived here three years and been to the cinema three times, I think. Part of my disinterest in cinema attendance is the overdubbing culture in Spain. If I'm going to see a Hollywood movie, I'd rather hear the actual actors' voices. We try to limit our cinema experiences to Spanish films. Two of the three cinema visits were Princesas and Volver. So yes, torrents are simply too convenient.

It’s on my to-see list – comes out here in a few weeks’ time, I think. I assume you downloaded it – what’s the quality of downloads like these days, and how long does it take?
Do you ever actually go to the cinema in Spain, or are the torrents simply too convenient?
