One of my favorite local dilapidated mansions has met the sharp blade of Progress this month. I’ve mentioned it before, highlighting both the flora and fauna around it. I have long been curious to try to enter and look around, but my better judgement, more for safety than legal reasons, always prevented me.

One of the first thing most visitors to our humble home say is, “So you guys got something against lamp shades, or what?” Our house still has the original light bulbs hanging from wires popping out of holes in the ceiling that the original builder left. And all the previous owners have shared our apathy about remedying the situation.

I’m dreading holding my daughter’s hand while she gets a dental filling tomorrow. She, in her blissful naivety, is actually looking forward to going to the dentist.
That’s one gigantic nerd phallus!
