September 1, 2006

On Friday, we went to the local weekly market in Colindres. CIMG0601

My father sits reading a book by his favorite author, Dick Francis.

At the market, my mother bought a shirt from the hottest, most fashionable brand in Spain right now, Guru.

The chef gets to work chopping and frying the toppings...

...and kneading the dough...

While we let the dough rise, we head out for some drinks! My mother tries on her new shirt.

The pizza is ready!

CIMG0616

Mmmmm!!

After lunch (and a siesta) we headed to Santander.

We pose in front of the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria. (replicas)

"Hey you! I said no horseplay on the beach!"

After the palace, we went into the center of the city to find a place to eat.

CIMG0633

We ordered two plates, an assortment of fried things and an assortment of cheese.

CIMG0634

No more cheese, please! I'm gonna burst!

We got home early to prepare to leave for Madrid the following morning.
