Upon learning of the Batalla de Vino last year, I decided that we must attend this year. Unfortunately, due to a problem with our car, and that it starts at 7:00 in the morning and is 90 minutes away, we're going to have to wait until next year, when June 29 falls on a Sunday. Viewing the video in last year's post and the related videos that now exist on YouTube (there weren't any when I posted that one last year) will give you an excellent demonstration of one of the things I love about the Spanish: they know how to party! That kind of lighthearted hedonism warms my heart.
And finally, on this long anticipated day, the release of the much-hyped iPhone, I'd like to shout out one more big fat I told you so on the topic. Okay, no more of that.
