Cooler than Ferris BuellerDuring her seven-month birthday festivities, when we were showing off her sunglasses to her grandparents, Nora kicked her feet up onto the table and posed like she was the head honcho around these parts. It’s good to be king, it seems.

Cooler than Ferris Bueller
This photo reminds me of Ferris Bueller for some reason.

Chillin' with Aunt Belén (Tongue Out)
I’m the boss here, and I’ll stick my tongue out if I feel like it.

Shout out to my peeps!
A shout out to all my peeps, yo.

  • Yesssss.

  • Good job she doesn’t live in Japan – it’s extremely offensive to show the soles of your feet to someone over there…

    • To my Japanese readers, Nora has something for you.

    • Hilltopbump

I never experienced that while I was in Japan. A quick web search for me showed that showing the soles of your feet was rude in Muslim nations and Thailand. Was this something you experienced? Maybe I pissed off a lot of people over there!

      • OK, a little googling and I’m prepared to amend my previous statement: pointing your feet at people in Japan is considered rude. This is one reason they tend to kneel on the floor with their feet tucked behind them.
And I definitely remember seeing a documentary advising American business people not to put their feet on their desks in the company of Japanese, or the deal would be off.
