Today the weather was very nice and Nora wore a dress for the first time (if you don’t count the baptism). I also filmed a favorite1 game of Nora’s, which, for lack of a better name, I’ll call Blanket Face. The gist of the game involves Marga throwing a blanket over Nora’s face and then removing it. This “blindness quickly replaced by Mommy’s loving face” provides the shock-relief cycle that is the basis of human laughter, and this activity elicits the closest thing Nora has to laughter.
Blanket Face is not only a fun pastime, but also didactic about what to do if you see someone on fire!
